The practice of Tai Chi includes slow, mindful breaths and (according to Mayoclinic.org) has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety. Gaming, shopping and studying might be good distractions, but they won't reduce anxiety over the long term.
Movement
Aerobic exercise (anything that gets your heart beating) reduces stress.
Pilates, jogging, walking, hiking, or anything that combines movement and breath are great aerobic activities.
