Your Limits
Gifts are nice but it is important to know your budget. Consider starting with a maximum range you are comfortable with. This will vary from person to person.
Start Data Mining
Make a list of what you know about the person:
Things they mentioned needing
Thinks they have clearly said they wanted! (that's the dream)
What are their passions, hobbies, interests?
Any basic info, favourite colour, animal, vacation spots.
Considering checking out their online presence, insta, Facebook, TikTok, Linkedin, etc. for ideas.
Some people have a public amazon wish list or Pinterest that could solve all your problems!

Think Laterally
Pick an item from the list you made then brainstorm a couple of ideas! Rinse and Repeat!
Mom likes birds - gift Ideas:
Take them on a hike
Take a bird identification class
Book about birds
Tickets to an aviary
Binoculars
Pillow with a bird on it
Lee likes candy - gift Ideas:
A gift basket full of candy from another country
Cotton candy machine
Candy making kit
Giant version of their favourite candy
Candy box subscription
If none of these ideas feel right, pick a new topic and try again!
Narrow It Down
Awesome! Now you should have at least a few ideas, think about the person's values:
Do they care about the environment?
Are they vegan?
Do they care how much you spent?
Do they have allergies?
Are they practical?
Do they like shiny things?
Any other things they care a lot about when being given gifts?
Decision Time
Take Action
Keep an ear out! If it's the thought that counts, and this Bytes is proof you're thinking and care a lot!
