What Can You Do?

What you see on social media is not the whole picture — most people only post things that show them at their best.

...social media is not reality. It’s a smoke screen that hides real life, a carefully curated highlight reel that encourages envy and self-doubt while also masking the insecurities and self-doubt of the original poster.

  • Spend less time on social media or take a break

  • Unfollow or unlike accounts that make you feel bad

  • Do other things you enjoy: read, exercise, watch TV, or try something new

  • Spend time with friends or family in real life
