Long to-do lists can often feel overwhelming.
The Kanban method is a planning system that lets you divide your to-do list into 3 parts; what needs to be done, what is in progress and what is completed.
Using this method to manage your to-do list will give you an at-a-glance view of your tasks in each step.

Let's Make A List!
First, make a list for things to do today or tomorrow, for school or work, or even a personal project.
Don't worry about the order of the tasks or the length of the list.
The To-do List
The first column on the Kanban board is the "To-do" column.
Move tasks from the list you made to this column. Focus on tasks you want to accomplish now.

In Progress Tasks
The "Doing" column comes next.
Move tasks you are working on to this column. Tasks do not have to be done in order.
Note: You can add more sections before and after this columnif you have a task that requires more than just a completion e.g. a feedback phase.
Quiz
Which one of these tasks belong in the "Doing" column?
You've taken the dog to groomers, meaning the grooming is being done now. Have to call mom means you still have to do the task. The cake has been delivered so that is done.
Did you know?
Task Completed!
The final column is the "Done" column.
Move finished tasks here.
Good job! You've completed a task from your list.
Being able to see your progress will keep you motivated to continue with the next task on your To-do list.
Take Action
Organizing a to-do list doesn't have to feel like a monumental task.
The Kanban method will keep your to-do list manageable and help you stay focused on your goals.
